What is the relationship between academia and financial success? Does university teaching ensure an artist will get paid? Get Money/Teach Kids, or Teach Kids/Get Money, is a print media work inserted in the conference bags of all attendees to the Southern Graphics Council Conference held in 2008 in Richmond, VA. This work, a seemingly anonymous exhibition announcement, invited conversations about the role of artist/teacher in the academy and the responsibilities/earning power that come with such privileged positions.
